Recap: Tom Fleming – RedBull Joyride Afterparty
By Elliott Devine
At the 2024 Official Red Bull Joyride Afterparty, held at The Longhorn Saloon in Whistler this summer, DJ Tom Fleming returned for his second year, dropping a monster set on a packed-crowd celebrating an epic weekend of slopestyle mountain biking. Fresh off the adrenaline of the competition, many top athletes were in attendance, including the newly crowned champion of the Crankworx Triple Crown of Slopestyle, Dawid Godziek. Godziek made history with his dominant performance, claiming his third victory of the season and securing the overall title. French rider Timothé Bringer, who took second place, and Sweden’s Max Fredriksson, who finished third, were also part of the night’s celebration.
The afterparty perfectly capped off the legendary event, with the afternoon apres-ride crowd warmed up by Olly Watt, and the night kicked off with a killer set from Yurie. Whistler’s Longhorn Saloon buzzed with excitement as athletes and fans partied late into the night, celebrating one of the biggest weekends in the mountain biking world. Tom Fleming took it to the next level with an epic tech house set which blew the roof off the legendary party venue, setting the stage for Trapment to take it home.
Dawid Godziek’s monumental win, along with unforgettable runs by Timothé Bringer and Max Fredriksson, made the night one for the books, and DJ Tom Fleming’s pitch-perfect set ensured that the nighttime vibe paired perfectly with the epic celebration.
Shout out to Red Bull Canada for the epic hospitality all weekend. Until next year.
